StoryStarter Core Set 45100

StoryStarter is a hands-on tool that inspires pupils to collaborate while creating and communicating stories using LEGO® bricks as their tools. It is an innovative way of teaching a wide range of essential skills. This set contains enough elements to build a five scene story, and the supporting curriculum pack offers 'getting started' tasks and hands-on classroom activities covering a range of topics.

Using a variety of creative writing templates, the accompanying StoryVisualizer Software helps pupils to document and share their stories. An eLearning program is also included, and provides video lessons and software tutorials for the teacher.

Key learning values

This set contains all the elements needed to equip up to five pupils with everything to start constructing their own stories. Building materials are delivered in a sturdy storage box along with sorting trays, base plates, activity spinners and an assortment of speciality bricks and minifigures. These include:

• Characters - Animals and elements for building characters such as heads, torsos, legs, hair and hats 

• Props - Objects that the characters can hold, such as food, tools, fire, water, crystals and other elements. It also contains iconic elements, such as chains, wheel parts, boxes, and flags 

• Setting - LEGO® bricks for the creation of scenes and scenarios that depict plant life and vegetation 

• Details - Smaller elements for adding finer details to a scene
